Paragraph Text
The paragraph text component displays pre-determined text to the user which to convey information. The paragraph text component is often used form sections such as policies, agreements, notices, and other long strands of texts where input fields or other forms of data collection are not needed.
How It Works
The Paragraph Text component displays text you have entered into the component to the form user. You can customize the text displayed, font, and additional behaviors to match your form requirements.
Formatting Tip
When you paste text from external sources (like Word or websites), HIPAAtizer may carry over unwanted formatting. To paste plain, unformatted text:
- Windows: Press
Ctrl + Shift + V - Mac: Press
Command + Shift + V
This will insert the content without preserving styles like fonts or colors.

| Text | Insert the text you want to display here. |
| Insert Variable | Select from a list of dynamic variables that can be added to the text, such as today's date and/or time. |
| Add CSS Class | Apply custom CSS classes to style the field to match your branding or layout. |
| Display Component in Navigation | Option to include this component in any summary or form navigation (if applicable). |
| Clear When Information Update Is On | When enabled, the field will be cleared for returning users if the Information Update setting is active in Form Settings. This ensures that updated entries are always collected. |
| Unique Name | A required identifier that must be unique within the form. Used in variables, email templates, webhooks, and integrations. |
| Variable Name (for Printable Template) | A variable identifier that can be copied to collect information in printable PDF or Word forms. |
