Is Lovable HIPAA Compliant? No, but with HIPAAtizer, it can be!

Lovable is great for building websites and apps quickly, but if your project needs to collect patient information, there is one important issue: Lovable does not currently sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA), and its terms restrict putting PHI into the platform. You don’t have to rebuild your Lovable website or app. Instead, simply add HIPAAtizer forms to your website. Patients complete the embedded form, and their PHI is collected and stored in HIPAAtizer’s HIPAA-Compliant environment rather than in Lovable. For more information see our recent blog post.

With HIPAAtizer Forms on Your Lovable Website, You Can:

Create your form

Or, if you already have a form? Upload your PDF, Word, or web form and convert it with HIPAAtizer AI. Or start with one of our templates. You can customize the result using the Form Builder.

Add it to Lovable

The simplest option is to add the form link to a button on your Lovable site. You can also share the same form by email or QR code. No code needed.

Want the form directly on the page? Copy your form ID from My Forms > Form Settings > Integrations > React.js, then give Lovable this prompt:

Add my HIPAAtizer form to the [page name] page using the public npm package @hipaatizer/react-embed. Import its default HIPAAtizerEmbed component and render it with formId=”xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx”. Make the surrounding section responsive. Keep form entry and submission in HIPAAtizer; do not recreate the fields as a Lovable form or store responses in Lovable.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Lovable HIPAA Compliant?

Not by itself. As of September 2026, Lovable does not sign a BAA. With HIPAAtizer forms, PHI can be collected and stored in HIPAAtizer’s HIPAA-Compliant environment under a BAA instead of being stored in Lovable.
